Moving On. This snowy egret had been checking out various fishing holes in search of brunch at the Gilbert (Arizona) Water Ranch on a sunny morning. It posed here for a while just above the pond, but then apparently decided that there was too much competition from a myriad of cormorants also hanging out right above it. I captured it filling my camera frame just after its feet lifted off from the tree.
